Obituary for Rosemary A. Mansur

Rosemary A. Mansur, age 85, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1940, in Gary, Indiana, to William and Mildred (Chestovich) Gibson.

Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Karla (Dennis) Thomason of Valparaiso, IN, Stephanie (Thomas) Risk of Portage, IN; four grandchildren, Nicholas Hurley, Natacha Hurley, Nathan Hurley, Vickie (Brandon) Greer; great-grandchildren, Catherine Hurley, Justice Hurley, Holli Mae Hurley, Zoey Hurley, Hudson Hurley, Emmalynn Greer, Parker Greer; sister, Elizabeth Maldonado; special niece, Michele Broda.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Lynn Ong; her son, Kenneth Mansur; parents, William and Mildred Gibson; her brother, Kenneth Gibson; and sister, Phyllis Broda.

Rosemary graduated from Hobart High School, class of 1959. She was a longtime and active member of New Hope Church of God. Rosemary retired from NWH Porter Hospital following many years of service. She loved spending time with her family and she loved her dogs. Rosemary enjoyed working in her yard and bird watching and could be found outside on any sunny day.

A Celebration of Rosemary's Life Service will be hosted by her family on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at New Hope Church of God, 712 N. 450 W., Valparaiso, IN 46385. Memorial Gathering will follow on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Church.
