Ronald L. Lach, age 81, of Hobart, IN, passed away on June 14, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was a retired Lake County Police Officer Crime Lab Forensic Investigator Badge No. 142. Ron also taught criminology at Purdue Northwest. In addition, he worked in the Superior Courts and was a member of FOP Chris Anton Lodge No. 125.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father- Jennie and Frank Lach; brothers: Frank Jr., and John; son- Greg and his grandson- Nicholas. He is survived in transition by his wife- Marilyn; daughter- Peggy (Tim) Wanat; sister-in-law- Carol White; grandchildren: Natasha (Matt) Haynes, Elizabeth (Eddie II) Wahl; great grandchildren: Nicholas, Lukas, Logan, Eddie III, Kailyn, & Mason; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home & Crematory, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Mr. Mike Silverstein officiating. www.burnsfuneral.com.
