Norma Longmore, age 83, of Portage, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1941, in Charleston, Illinois, to William and Emma (Tingley) Lovall.
Norma is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Tommy) Smith, Jill Earp; son, Gene Longmore (Hope Victery); four granddaughters, Allison (CJ) Kimbrough, Courtney (Nick Childers) Zollman, Chloe (Adam) Partin, Cassidy Zollman; grandson, Collin (Caysie Nettles) Longmore; two great-grandsons, Jamison Kimbrough, Malcolm Baldwin; two great-granddaughters, Delilah Kimbrough, Delaney Kimbrough; sister, Carolyn Martakis; brother, Dave Lovall; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Larry Longmore; and four brothers, Lee, Ron, Jim, Mike.
Norma graduated from Hobart High School. She loved her kids and her grandkids and was an amazing cook. Norma loved Jesus and was a faithful Christian woman. She worked for many years as a Bus Driver and loved the children she helped along the way. Norma loved to play games with her sister, Carol, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Family was her #1 and she loved spending time with them.
Norma's family will be hosting a Memorial Gathering from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, with Service at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Portage, 6129 Mulberry Ave., Portage, IN 46368. A further Celebration of her Life will be announced for a later date.
