Carol D. Potts

Age 84 passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her friend’s home in Portage. She was born on January 4, 1941, to the late George H. and Dorothy L (nee Cox) Potts in Loda, Illinois. Carol, a retired Prudential Insurance data entry professional since 1997, was an active and devoted member of New Life Community Church in Hobart, IN. Her prior affiliation was with First Baptist, where she fulfilled roles as an AWANA Director, a faithful choir member and a teacher’s aide for the first grade at Hobart Baptist School for many years. Carol was renowned for her compassionate and loving nature and servant’s heart often providing transportation to church for those in need.

She is survived by several cousins, many loving friends and church family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service for Carol will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 25,2025 at New Life Community Church, 1 North Pennsylvania Street, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Pastor Eduardo Guerra officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of service also at New Life Community Church.
