Deborah (Debbie) Knouff (Foerg) - Class Of 1972

Debbie (Knouff) Foerg, member of the class of 1972 passed away August 2005 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was married to Jeffrey Foerg for 32 years at the time of her passing. She had three children all Hobart alumni Kriste (Michael) Bell, Craig (Connie) Foerg and Eric (Lindsay) Foerg. She also had four amazing grandchildren: Meghan and Aaron Bell and Kyle and Evan Foerg. She was always involved in Hobart Athletics and Theater Arts with her children as they were involved during high school.

Deborah J. Foerg (Knouff) Hobart Deborah J. "Debbie" Foerg, age 51, of Hobart, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Porter County VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Deborah was a member of St. Bridgets Church in Hobart and was employed by Woman's Wellness Center in Hobart as a receptionist.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff; one daughter, Kriste (Michael) Bell of Hobart; two sons: Craig (Connie) Foerg of Indianapolis and Eric (Kristin) Foerg of Hobart; parents: James and Genevieve Knouff, Sr. of Hobart; in-laws: Donald and Betty Brown of Royal Center, IN; one sister, Kathy (Ron) Anderson of Hobart and one brother, James (Bobbi) Knouff, Jr. of Portage; two brothers-in-law: Garry (Kim) Foerg of Winamac and James Fredel of Winamac; one sister-in-law, Rebecca (Rick) Rivers of Logansport; four grandchildren: Meghan and Aaron Bell and Kyle and Evan Foerg; seven nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, August 15, 2005 at St. Bridget's Church in Hobart at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dominic Bertino, officiating. There will be prayers at Kraft Funeral Services at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call on Sunday, August 14, 2005 from 2 to 8 p.m. with Rosary by Knights of Columbus St. Thomas Council at 7:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart, IN, 219-942-9866. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Horton VNA Hospice or Pancan (Pancreatic Cancer Research).
