Theodore John Wozniak Jr; 64 years old of Hobart Indiana, passed away on February 3rd, 2025 after a sudden illness. He was born in Gary, Indiana to Theodore J. Wozniak Sr. and Gene Wozniak. He grew up in Hobart, Indiana and graduated in the class of 1978.

Theodore married Frances Austin in October 1983 and to this union welcomed a son Jeffrey Wozniak, and a daughter Kasey Wozniak.

His favorite hobby was fishing. Theodore especially enjoyed going on fishing trips to Canada, Lake Erie for walleye, and to our cousin’s cabin on Barbie Lake. He loved fishing below the dam in Hobart for carp. Theodore said they always gave a good fight, then would release them.

He also loved drag racing. On summer weekends, we could hear the cars at US 30 all the way to our house. Dad would take us to see the fast cars. This racing bug followed him through his life. He would go fishing, and record racing to watch when he got home.

In July 2018, Theodore married Wanda Dittrich of Cedar Lake, in Crown Point, Indiana.

Theodore is preceded in death by parents Theodore Wozniak Sr. and Gene Wozniak.

He is survived by wife Wanda Wozniak of Hobart, son Jeffrey (Carmen) Wozniak of Santa Barbara, California, daughter Kasey (Jeremy Starkey) Wozniak of Pocatello, Idaho, sisters Theona (Robert) Camarena of Hobart, Sharon Palmeri of Crown Point, and Linda Young of Hobart, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, February 10th, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM with the memorial service at 6:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home and Crematory, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart Indiana 46342. www.BurnsFuneral.com
