OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, APRIL 21, 2008

Bill Sohn, age 70, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008. He was born on December 1, 1937 in Gary, Indiana, the son of William and Frances Sohn. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was married to Carol Kramer on September 21, 1990 in Nashville, Tennessee. Bill was retired with 35 years of service as a production scheduler for Bethlehem Steel. He was a life member of the Hobart 1st Christian Church, the V.F.W. # 5365, the American Legion Post # 54, M.L. McClelland Masonic Lodge #357, and F.O.P.A. Bill was an avid fisherman, a huge NASCAR (8) Fan, and loved to play poker. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Carol Sohn, Hobart, sons Bill (Renee) Sohn, Hobart, Brent (Kim) Burris, Indianapolis, and Todd (Pam) Burris, Indianapolis, daughters Wendy (Bill) Farnsworth, NC, and Debbie (Jeremy) Ogden, Hobart, grandchildren Noah, Evan, Miranda, Mattalynn, Brooke, Kate, and Nicole, and his wonderful golden retriever Trooper.

A visitation for Bill Sohn will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Bill Sohn will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Rees Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Campbell, officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Memorials in Bill's memory may be given to the Sohn Family.
