JOHN LEE WELCH HOBART, IN

John "Jack" Lee Welch, age 76, of Hobart, passed away Sunday evening, December 16, 2012 with his son and daughter by his side. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from U.S. Steel, and later worked for the City of Hobart Parks Department.

Jack was met in Heaven by his loving wife, Carol Sue Welch; and his granddaughter, Stacey Lee (Welch) Gospodarek. Surviving are two children: Sherry Weber and John (Patty) Welch; three grandchildren: Dustin (Casey) Weber, Nichole (Matt) Bull, and Kristy (Kevin) Bish; brother, James (Maureen) Welch; eight great grandchildren: Cailey, Cole, Riley, Cora, Jaxson, Spencer, Tyler, and Alexis Lee; and his mother-in-law, Ann Gade. 

Friends may visit with family Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
