Bobby Neil Holder, 72, of Evening Shade died Monday August 10, 2009 at his home. He was born March 19, 1937 at Gary, Indiana to Dexter Holder and Vera Golden Holder.

He was a DJ, independent roofing consultant, millwright engineer, coach, chef, actor, jack of all trades, graduate of Ozarka Culinary Arts Department, served in the United States Army, and Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Gary and Roger Holder.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Martin Holder of the home, three sons: Johnny Madden (Amy Hooks)of Cherokee Village, Michael Holder of Cherokee Village, and Jake Holder (Tabitha McIntosh) of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; eight daughters: Tammy Pardus (Don Pardus) of Lilburn, Georgia, Kim Lovelady (Joel Lovelady) of Jonesboro, Kelly Holder (Mary Coughlon) of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Lori Sikes (Jody Sikes) of Pembroke, Georgia, Tracy Hicks (Willie Smalls) of Bloomingdale, Georgia, Athania Anderson (Michael Anderson) of Batesville, Amy Rodgers (Jermaine Rodgers) of Jacksonville, and Samantha Holder (Ryan Lamb) of Pearl, Mississippi; two brothers: Grant Holder (Linda Newton) of Lake Station, Indiana and Dwight Holder (Kay Collins) of Ravenden ; three sisters: Cindy Yanez (Armando Yanez) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sharon Holder of Milton, Kentucky, and Phyllis Phipps of Jonesboro; eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will begin Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade with Jack Phelps and Bob McMillan officiating. Arrangements by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
