RONALD DEAN COATES, age 41, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, August 20, 1998. He was born in Gary, August 26, 1956 to the late Milton and Alfreda (Kossow) Coates and was a lifelong area resident.

He is survivied by his wife, Jo Ann (nee Wilfong); a daughter, Brienne at home; stepmother, Mary Coates of Stonefort, IL; brothers, Dennis (Penny) of Westville, Ken of Plymouth, Tom (Linda) of Hobart, Larry of Portage, Rich (Pat) of Hobart, Darryl (Lianne) of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Karen (Doug) Hill of Portage, Arlene (Andy) Koritko of Hobart; brothers-in-law, Wade (Becky) Wilfong of Portage, Bill (Pam) Wilfong of Stevensville, MI, Mark (Darlene) Wilfong of Hobart. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Monday, Auguste 24, 2998 at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Rev. Gerald T. Walworth officiating. Cremation, Calvary Crematory. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 942-2109.
