Robert Harvey - Class Of 1975

A proud "Brickie", Robert Lee Harvey was born August 19th, 1957 in Gary, Indiana and raised in Hobart Indiana; he was the son of Robert Lee Harvey, Sr. and Jacqueline Zavada Sofranoff. While earning his Chemical Engineering degree at Purdue University; Robert led the baseball team to many victories and went on to get his masters in Environmental Science from LSU. Robert moved his young family to Georgia beginning a successful career in water management. His love for motorcycling and pool introduced him to many friends. His quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving bride Clayton, his mother Jacqueline Sofranoff and stepfather Philip Sofranoff; his son Bobby Harvey; daughter Jacqueline Harvey; and granddaughter Abby; his brothers Leonard and Michael Harvey; and his sisters Lori Ackerman and Sherri Harvey.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, 6-28-2009 at 4:00 pm. at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA. Following the service we will celebrate his life at The Derby on Old Alabama Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the VFW or the American Cancer Society.
