OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, DECEMBER 3, 2010:

Emily M. Fifield, 92, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart, passed away Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Life Care Center of Valparaiso. She was born on July 30, 1918 in Danube Village, MN to John and Hilda (Johnson) Pratt. Emily graduated from Hobart High School in 1934 and went on to retire from Farmers State Bank. After retirement she enjoyed vacationing with her husband. On August 21, 1938 in Crown Point, Emily married Ralph H. Fifield who preceded her in death in 2005.

Emily is survived by two sons: Marc L. (Carol) Fifield of Valparaiso and Ralph E. (Patricia) Fifield of Williamsburg, VA, six grandchildren: Christine Hanzel, Tara Bandes, Jennifer Harper, Glen Fifield, Ralph Fifield and Faith Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers: John and Morris Pratt.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Cort Bucher officiating at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso IN 46383. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Porter Co. MoellerFuneralHome.com
