Hobart -- Albert G. Kegebein "Al" age 67, lifelong resident of Hobart, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Kegebein; mother, Elaine Kegebein; daughter, Theresa Kegebein; eight stepchildren: Edward (Mary) Wojcik of Hobart, Deborah (David) Nowicki, Robert Wojcik, all of South Bend, Indiana, Greg (Becky) Wojcik of Brownsberg, Indiana, Stephen (Lorene) Wojcik of Social Circle, Georgia, Joseph (Janet) Wojcik, Patricia (Bob) Sheetz, Denis (Jackie) Wojcik, all of Dallas, Texas area; brothers: Gerald (June) Kegebein, Larry (Fran) Kegebein, all of Hobart, Terry Kegebein of Valparaiso; many nieces and nephews; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Jerry Faye Kegebein, father, Emil Kegebein, and brother, Charles Kegebein.
Albert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, IBEW Local #697, Life Member of V.F.W. Post #5365, American Legion Post #54, Moc Pup Tent #16. He was past commander of #5365, a past district commander of 1st District V.F.W., Seam Squirrel of MOC. Al was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War serving 14 months.
Funeral services Saturday, December 4, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Burial Hobart Cemetery. VFW 1st District, Kostbade Fowble Post #5365 and American Legion Post #54 will conduct services Friday, 7:00 p.m. Visitation Friday, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
