OBITUARY IN THE NW INDIANA TIMES, MAY 17, 2005:

William R. "Bill" Ledyard, age 65, of Hobart, passed away May 16, 2005. He was a retired Hobart Police Officer and also retired from Nipsco. He was a member of the John Purdue Club. Bill enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and sports. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one son, Bill of Hobart; one daughter, Barb (Dan) Merrill of Hobart; two granddaughters: Kelly and Colleen Merrill; one sister, Marian Colburn of Hobart; and several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Jean Ledyard; mother and father-in-law: Bob and Virginia Ramsey; one brother, Arthur Ledyard; and one sister, Eleanor Ramsey.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Whitehead officiating at Kraft Funeral Services, 370 N. County Line Road. Hobart. Interment at Graceland Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home, 219-942-9866. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VNA Hospice.
