Clyde Riggens Obituary
Clyde W. Riggens, Jr. Valparaiso Clyde W. Riggens, Jr., age 66 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2004.
He is survived by one son, Brian Riggens of Chesterton; three daughters, Nina Merkley of Hobart, Theresa Nilson of Chesterton and Tammy (Mark) Belancin of Florida; two sisters, Irene Hopper of Illinois and Louise Otto of California; seven grandchildren, Steven, Cory, Kevin, Andrew, Ashley, Drew and Dakota; close family friend, Jon (Linda) Cooros of Portage and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Mills and one brother, Melvin Riggens.
Clyde was born to Clyde and Alice Riggens. He was self-employed as a photographer and was a full-time auxiliary policeman for the Valparaiso P.D. He was an avid photographer and loved to hunt and fish.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Harold Weller presiding at Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart (219-942-9866) with cremation following. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
