OBITUARY INFORMATION FROM JUNE'S DAUGHTER, JODI CRUM MELLON, CLASS OF 1990:

JUNE L. CRUM (nee SEARS) Hobart, Indiana Age 66, passed away from cancer and a year-long battle of sepsis on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Porter Memorial in Valparaiso.

She was a lifelong resident of Hobart. She graduated Hobart High School in 1957. She took pride in her job at Valparaiso University as a housekeeper in the 1990s until retirement. June was a past president and former member of the Hobart Arts League during the 1980's.

She is survived by her son, Curtis (Lee Fletcher) Crum of Hobart, IN; daughter, Jodi Lynn Crum of Hobart; brother, Tom (Fay) Sears, GA; sister, Bonnie (Don) Hurr of Hobart, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brandon (Caroline) Crum and Justin Crum; great grandchildren, Lindsay and Lauren; and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Harriet Sears, husband, William Crum, and infant son, Brian.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
