Larry Deahn Smith, 68, of Colorado Springs passed away on Friday February 16, 2007 in his home in Peyton, Colorado. He was born on September 19, 1938 in Lawrence Illinois to William and Bonnie Smith. He graduated from Hobert High School in 1957. Larry joined the Army and proudly served at Fort Carson in the 12th Calvary Division and was Honorably Discharged after serving his tour.

Larry married Elizabeth Furnish on June 22, 1963 and had one son Steven, in March of 1965. After leaving the Army, Larry worked for the City of Colorado Springs Utilities for 40 years, retiring in 2003.

Larry is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Steven, Daughter in law Stephanie and his brother Jerry. He was preceded in death by his father William and his mother Bonnie. Larry was a loving husband and father and held the deepest devotion to his family and friends.

Visitation will be on Weds. Feb.21 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 am on Thurs Feb 22 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home.
