Shirley Lou Mason (Parry) - Class Of 1938

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, OCTOBER 4, 2011:

Shirley Lou Parry (nee Mason), age 91, of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor in Portage.

Beloved wife of the late Everett Howard Parry; loving mother to Dennis (Biddi) Parry, Kokomo; Marsha Parry, Valparaiso; Mark (Terri) Parry, Michigan City; Jack (Joyce) Parry, Texarkana, TX, and Chris (Lisa) Parry, Valparaiso; half sister-in-laws: Pam (Art) Davis, Valparaiso; Penny (Ray) Morgan, Birmingham, AL and grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso and, in later years, the Ogden Dunes Community Church. She was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1938. She was a long time resident of Valparaiso and she and her husband owned and operated the Club Royalee restaurant on Franklin St, Valparaiso, for approximately 26 years. Shirley also worked for the Valparaiso Community schools in the food service department, for Washington townships school in the food service department, for the Porter County Sheriff's Department as a cook. Most recently in her life she managed the Terian House for aged women in Valparaiso. She volunteered for many years at Porter Memorial Hospital and the Presbyterian Church Resale Shop.

Friends are invited to visit the family on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 3401 N. Valparaiso St., Valparaiso.
