Mary Ehlen (Bumbalek) - Class Of 1950

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, OCTOBER 25, 2010:

Marian Ehlen Bumbalek was born on July 1, 1932 in Hobart, Indiana to Fred and Emily Ehlen. She passed peacefully on October 17, 2011. Marian attended Hobart High School in Indiana and then studied Education in English and French at Ball state University in Muncie, Indiana. She lived and travelled extensively in Europe and studied at Cordon Bleu in Paris. She was a member of Mensa International. After moving to Houston in 1970, her career was focused in Real Estate. Her three decades in the real estate industry were primarily spent teaching countless thousands of real estate agents while training director for Spencer School of Real Estate and later Nancy Hawes Schools. For thirty-five years, Marian was a dedicated volunteer at Unity Church of Christianity. She served on the Board of Directors and was President of the Board. Marian was a kind, loving person with a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

Donations may be made to Unity Church of Christianity or The Alzheimer's Association .
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 1st at 1:30 PM at Unity Church, 2929 Unity Drive, Houston, Texas, 77057.
