Albert Kazwell - Class Of 1943

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 9, 2010:

Albert L. Kazwell D.D.S., age 85 of Crown Point formerly of Cedar Lake, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010.

He is survived by wife Helen of 63 years; 5 children: Dr. Richard (Marilyn) Kazwell of Crown Point, Cynthia Carstens of Florida, Barbara (Dr. Carl) Hash of Wisconsin, Dr. Mary Catherine (Dale Nadon) Kazwell of Florida, Dr. John (Janet) Kazwell of Iowa; 8 grandchildren: Sarah (Daniel) Vicari, Ben Carstens, Douglas Carstens, and Courtney Carstens, Meghan Hash, Emilie Hash, Jack Kazwell, Anna Kazwell; brother Stanley Kazwell of Florida; sister Mary Ann (John) O'Sullivan of Florida. Preceded in death by son William Kazwell, parents Alex and Eva Kazlauski Sr., and brother Alex Kazlauski Jr.

AIbert was a dentist in Cedar Lake for 36 years and retired to Florida. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a life long member and past Commodore of Cedar Lake Yacht Club, a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus, an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was discharged with the rank of captain, a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, NW Indiana Dental Society, and American Legion Post #261. A former member of Cedar Lake Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, and B.P.O Elks. A graduate of Hobart High School and Indiana University School of Dentistry. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, fishing, and was an avid I.U. sports fan. Albert will be remembered for his keen wit and wonderful sense of humor.

Friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 East Franciscan Drive (on State Road 55 south of State Road 231), Crown Point Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a legion service at 7:30 P.M. Funeral services will held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Pruzin & Little Chapel and 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church (321 East Joliet Street, Crown Point) with Rev. Dennett Jung officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Memorials preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Franciscan's San Domiano Friary.
