OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MAY 9, 2010:

Ruth A. Sargent, age 85 of Hobart, passed away May 6, 2010. She graduated from Hobart High School and St. Mary Hospital School of Nursing in Gary and had been a nurse at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Gary and for Drs. Reed and Krsek in Hobart. Ruth was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1994. Ruth is survived by sons: Dr. Troy (Kimberly) Sargent of Gaylord, MI, Tom (Conchita) Sargent and Tim Sargent of Hobart; grandchildren: Brian Sargent and Lucas and Levi White; brother, Robert (Lorraine) Frank of Hendersonville, NC; niece, Robin (Irwin) Breir; and nephew, Robert "Chip" (Brigette) Frank.

Funeral services will be private at Burns Funeral Home, Hobart. Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Drive, Hobart, IN 46342.www.burnsfuneral. com
