OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, OCTOBER 5, 2010:

Roberta M. Schwuchow, age 77, of Hobart passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was a secretary for the Hobart Chamber of Commerce for 24 years, a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Hobart and a graduate of the Hobart High School Class of 1950.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Schwuchow on May 28, 2001. She is survived by her children Deborah (Tracy) Smith of Franklin, IN, Sheila (Barney) Timmons of Loogootee, IN, Kurt (Rebecca) Schwuchow of Camp Lake, WI and Eric Schwuchow of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister-in- spirit, Babs Freidlien of Hobart.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart with Rev. Jonathan Gosser officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart).
