Ralph H. Fifield Valparaiso Ralph H. Fifield, age 89, of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Life Care Center. He was born on May 9, 1916 in Valparaiso, the son of Glenn and Clara (Saager) Fifield. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1934 and retired from GATX Corporation's Field Erection Department in Chicago in 1978 with 32 years of service. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hobart and Porter Lodge F & AM of Valparaiso.

On August 21, 1938 in Crown Point, he married Emily M. Pratt, who survives, along with two sons: Marc L. (Carol) Fifield of Valparaiso and Ralph E. (Patricia) Fifield of Williamsburg, VA; six grandchildren: Christine Hanzel, Tara Bandes, Jennifer Harper, Glen Fifield, Ralph Fifield and Faith Fifield and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Darrell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with Rev. Dennis M. Wells officiating with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Visit www.moellerfuneralhome.com.
