Virginia Lazar (Frum) - Class Of 1945

OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, MAY 8, 2005:

VIRGINIA FRUM "Jean" Portage Age 78, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Porter Hospital, Valparaiso Campus. Jean was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and a graduate of Hobart High School. She, along with her husband, was the owner and operator of Lefty's Coho Landing and was an avid fisherman. Jean was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Portage.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert L. "Lefty" Frum, Sr.; 2 sons: Robert L. "Tug" Frum, Jr. (fiancee' Cynthia) of Portage, Keith D. (Ella) Frum of Porter: 3 grandchildren: Jamie (Noel) Tengdin of Portage, Christina Frum of Bloomington, IN, Jacob Frum of Porter; 3 great grandchildren: Kevin, Robbie and Mattie Tengdin; 8 brothers and sisters: Eli Lazar of Arizona, Helen Turner of Louisiana, Nick Lazar of California, Vicky Mathis of Culver, Indiana, Steve Lazar of Lakes of the Four Seasons, Minerva Williams of Calumet Township, Dan Lazar of South Haven, Mary Hart of Hobart; sister in law, Betty Lazar; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Lazar.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Rev. James R. Fielder officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation Monday from 2-9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. 762-3013.
