William Glynn - Class Of 1934

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 29, 2005:

William H. Glynn, age 88 of Hobart, passed away Monday, January 24, 2005. Bill was born and raised in Hobart and was a member of the Hobart High School graduating class of 1934 and the Revelle Hobart High School Band. He retired in 1974 from U.S. Steel with 38 years of service. Bill and his wife were active in the Hobart Historical Society from it's inception. He was a former member of the Supervisor's Club and a member of St. Bridget Church.

He is survived by four children, Sharon (Clem) Malinka of IL, Patricia (Kenneth) Dudley of CA, Kathleen (Bob) Studva of FL and William Glynn of IL; two grandchildren, Kevin Dudley and Ryan Dudley; two sisters, Ruth Crisman of Wheeler, Marion Glynn and her life long friend Alice Geenlee of Hobart; niece and godchild, Mary Lou Shobe; nephew, Blair (Kim) Montgomery, brother-in-law, I.W. "Monty" Montgomery. Preceded in death by parents William and Louise Glynn; wife Mary; sister Margaret Montgomery.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial and Interment were held on Friday, January 28, 2005. Arrangements were completed by Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
