OBITUARY FROM THE NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 31, 2008:

Robert L. Hickman, age 76 of Hobart, passed away January 29, 2008. He is survived by his wife Connie; six children, 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; also survived by two sisters Joyce (Floyd) Maynard of TN and Joan Wiltfang of FL and brother Don (Jayne) Hickman of Hobart; many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or services held. Condolences may be sent to the Hickman residence or to the Hickman family at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN 46342.

Bob attended Hobart High School and was a retired motor tender at US Steel Gary Works after 38 years of service. He was the head of maintenance at Innsbrook Country Club for over ten years. He and his wife, Connie, were the owners of Bob's Service in Hobart. Bob was also a former trustee of BPOE Lodge No. 1152 in Hobart.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his three children, May Hickman; 2nd wife Ann Hickman; his parents: Lester Charles and Pauline Evelyn (nee Archibald) Hickman: his brother, Douglas Hickman. Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) is in charge of arrangements.
