Stanley Jachimczak - Class Of 1936

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, APRIL 10, 2007:

STANLEY J. JACHIMCZAK Sunrise 10--11-1917 Sunset 4-07-2007 Hobart, Indiana Stanley, age 89 of Hobart passed away peacefully at St. Anthony's Medical Center on Saturday, April 7, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Anna Jachimczak, sister, Mary Anderson and brother, Walter Jachimczak. He is survived by his loving brother, Edward of Westwego, LA; nieces: Verna (Gene) Mebert, Carol (Dave) Evans, Dolly Swift; nephews, Stephen (Maxine) Michaels, Vincent (Gail) Jachimczak, Walter (Carol) Jachimczak; and many, many great and great great nieces and nephews.

Stan was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1936, he was a retiree of U.S. Steel Gary Works, foundry plant with 32 years of service, a member of USW Local 1014 and he was a member of the Divine Providence Polish National Catholic Church. Stan was an avid bowler (5 nights a week) golfer and sports enthusiast.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. directly at Our Savior Mission Polish National Catholic Church of New Chicago with Rev. Edward G. Meus officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation is Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 2 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. www.reesfuneralhomes.com
