OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JULY 1, 2004:

Joan J. Lee, age 80, of Greenville, South Carolinam formerly of Crown Point and Hobart passed away in Greenville on Tuesday, June 29, 2004. Joan was a member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Crown Point, the E.C.W. Club and Women's Federated in Crown Point. She was a graduate of Hobart High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Lee in 1989, her parents, Ralph and Rachel Julian and brothers, Ralph and Harry Julian and sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Fischer. She is survived by her children, Dr.. Charles A. (Beth) Lee of South Carolina, Terry (Christine) Lee of Valparaiso,Patrick Lee of South Carolina, Pam (Preston) Vanaman of Valparaiso, Jeffrey (Donna) Lee of Crown Point, Rachel Lee of Michigan and Nikki Kay Lee of Crown Point; grandchildren; Charles Lee, Laurie Adams, Christine Wasz, Byron Lee, Samantha, Justin and Jeremy Vanaman, and Nathan Julian Lee, Patrick "Butch" Lee and Jason Lee; six great-grandchildren; siblings Jack (Carol) Julian of Florida, Richard (Dixie) Julian of Crown Point, Rachel (David) Kristophal of Valparaiso, Judith (Eugene) Hollingsworth of Hobart and Bob (Randy) Julian of Valparaiso.

Funeral Services, Saturday, July 3, 2004, 10 A.M. at the Burns Funeral Home (corner 101st and Broadway) Merrillville/Crown Point chapel. Interment, Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home on Friday from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M.
