OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 1, 2008:

Mary I. Stazinski (nee Johnson), age 83, of Hobart, Indiana formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2007. She was a graduate of Hobart High School, and became a registered nurse after graduating from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Stazinski.

She is survived by her daughter, Carin (Robert) DeBats; two Sons: Albert (Deanna) Stazinski, and Larry (Kelly) Stazinski, all of Valparaiso, IN; and seven bright and beautiful grandchildren: Matthew and Mark DeBats, Sam and Sydney Stazinski, and Christopher, Lauren, and Mary Stazinski.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 10:00am at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway in Merrillville, Indiana with Fr. Stephen Loncar officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana.
