OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE, MAY 22, 2012:

MARC VICTOR PERO, age 54, of Hobart, passed away May 22, 2012, at VNA Hospice. He was a lifetime area resident and graduate of Hobart High School. He was a devoted Ironworker of Local #395 for over 25 years. Marc was an avid outdoorsman. He loved traveling to Canada and other places. His favorite activities were hunting, trapping, fishing and telling about all his adventures. Marc enjoyed being there for his neighbors. His hobbies were gardening and fabricating projects including his race car.

Marc was a proud father and grandfather, survived by his daughters, Jaime, Jody, Jill, and Jennifer Pero; grandchild, Dylan Pero; best friend, Sandi Pero; brother, Jerome (Sandy) Pero; sisters, Penny Lane and Vicky Jones; other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mildred Pero.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to VNA Hospice of Valparaiso are preferred. A funeral service for Marc will be Friday, May 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
