OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, MARCH 25, 2003:
Christy L. Sapper, age 28, of Merrillville, passed away suddenly on Sunday March 23, 2003. Christy has been a Merrillville resident for the past 6 years, formerly of Hobart. Christy was a Hobart High School graduate, class of 1992 and was a graduate of Indiana University receiving a Bachelors degree in Organizational Communications, in 1996. Presently Christy was employed by High School Sports Publications. Previously she was a Social Worker for L.C.A.R and Porter Starke Services.
Survivors, Richard "Alan", loving husband for 5-1/2 years; parents, Herb and Karen Todd of Hobart; one brother, Jeffrey Todd of Portage; mother and father-in-law, Evleyn and Rick Sapper of Hobart; sister-in-law, Jennie (TJ) Boyd of Portage; brother-in-law, Fred Sapper of Hobart and maternal grandfather, S. Eldon (Wanda) Ward of Seminole, FL. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Dorothy Ward and paternal grandmother, June Todd.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN, Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Burial, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
