Heather Dawn Vassil, age 30 of Fort Wayne, formerly of Hobart, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013.
Survived by parents: Raymond and Darlene (nee Einikis) Vassil of Hobart; sister, Tiffany (fiance Gregory Mendez) Vassil of Fort Wayne; and brother, Raymond Jacob Vassil of Hobart. Preceded in death by grandparents: Pauline and John Vassil and Rose and Alex Einikis; and uncle, George Vassil. Heather was a graduate of Hobart High School. She received her BA degree from Purdue University, and recently graduated from Med Tech College in Fort Wayne with an Associate of Science degree.
Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 9:30 AM from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 AM from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (5885 Harrison St., Merrillville) with Rev. Ed Tlucek officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald House or the Hobart Humane Society.
