OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 11, 2013:
Donald Nicholas "Nick" Potrebic, age 36 of Lake Station, formerly of Hobart, passed away November 6, 2013. Nick was a member of Hobart High School's Class of 1995 and later attended Indiana University Northwest and Purdue Calumet. He was currently self-employed at his computer servicing and programming business. Nick was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, loved fishing, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents: George and Catherine Conway, Peter and Olga Potrebic. He is survived by his parents: Donald "Potch" and Ellen "Len" Potrebic; sister, Heather Potrebic-Reid (Charles) Isley; nephew, Tyler Nicholas Reid; niece, Taylor Nicole Reid; uncles: Ronald (Barb) Potrebic, James (Kay) Conway; cousins: Rhonda (Kevin) Curtis, Karen (Lee) Jones, Patrick (Brenna) Conway, Ronald (Jennifer) Potrebic, Donna (Stacy) Adams; special friends: Joe (Chrissy) Butler, Joe (Erin) Such, Duke (Pam) Witcher; special princess, Cheyenne Ginger.
Friends may visit with Nick's family on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 200 E. 78th Ave., Merrillville, IN. Rev. Jon Plavcan officiating.
