Joshua C. Respecke, 20, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2001 in Cadillac, Michigan. Josh was a lifelong Hobart resident and a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1998. He had attended Indiana University Northwest for two years and was currently employed as a carpenter with Prestine Builders. He is survived by his mother, Joy and brother, Bryan Respecke and grandmothers: Arlene Vedope and Agnes Respecke, all of Hobart; two uncles; Alan Vedope of Matteson, IL and Bob Respecke of Hobart; Aunt Chelle (Dennis) Klemm; special close friend, Carrie Conrad; cousins, Alan (Yvonne) Vedope of Ft. Myers, FL, Aron (Erika) Vedope of Portatge, Randy Respecke of Roselawn, IN and several other special friends. Preceded in death by his father, Jerry Respecke.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2001, 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN with Rev. Larry K. Whitehead officiating. Cremation to follow at Calvary Crematory, Portage. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. (219) 942-2109.
