OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 14, 2008:

Isabell M. Wignall (nee Schmelter) age 79, of Hobart, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus. Isabel was a lifelong Hobart area resident and member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She had been employed at Hobart Lab & X-ray at Lake George Medical Clinic and also at Hobart Federal Savings & Loan.

She is survived by three children: Jan (Mike) Lands of Richardson, Texas, Mark Wignall of Angola, IN, Eric Wignall of Hobart; six grandchildren: Erin and Ryan Lands, Ray and Matt Wignall, Bryan and Ben Wignall; brother, Edward Schmelter of Lakes of the Four Seasons; sister, Irene Kostoff of Valparaiso, IN; numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Raymond D. Wignall preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2008 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, and then proceeding to St. Bridget Catholic Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino celebrating.
