George Sweat, age 82, retired to Nineveh, IN, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012. George is survived by two daughters: Cheryl (Jeffery) Myers and Teresa (Mark) Shary; grandchildren: Daniel (Kristina) Hernandez, Nicholas Hernandez, Braden Myers and Zachary and Will Shary; great granddaughter, Kayden Hernandez; and two brothers: Dick and Dave Sweat. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; and sister, Sally Freeman. George was retired from the Dalton Corporation.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services in Merrillville, IN. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
