Larry Lee Pardus, age 76, of Hobart, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born on August 30, 1938 in Crown Point, Indiana to the late Francis and Olga Pardus. He worked for almost 30 years as an Insurance Agent and retired from Farm Bureau in Hobart. Larry was an avid sports fan who coached softball for 15 years. His greatest joy in life was watching his own grandchildren play sports.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria (nee Alvarez) Pardus; son, Philip (Michelle) Pardus; daughter, Traci (Hank) Pimentel; grandchildren, Jacob Pardus, Zachary Pardus, Hank Pimentel, Breanna Pardus, Rylie Pardus, Hannah Pardus, Ryan Pimentel, Christopher Huppenthal and Brandon Huppenthal; brothers, William Pardus, Frank “Pooch” Pardus and Don (Tammy) Pardus; sister, Nona Lynn Pardus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Olga Pardus. Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209.

Visitation for Larry will take place Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at St. Bridget Catholic Church at the corner of Front and Center Streets, Hobart, Indiana starting with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 am.
