When Lionel Gordon Argo was born on 9 April 1907, in Pleasant Plain, Jefferson, Iowa, United States, his father, George Bert Argo, was 23 and his mother, Rachel Lavina "Rae" Poquette, was 22. He married Victoria Dorothy Scrobel on 10 July 1929, in Porter, Indiana, United States. He lived in Capac, St. Clair, Michigan, United States in 1920 and Lake Station, Hobart Township, Lake, Indiana, United States in 1950. He registered for military service in 1942. He died on 5 September 1983, at the age of 76, and was buried in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia, Florida, United States.
