OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, SEPTEMBER 24, 2003:
JOHN WILLIAM BRACKEN Age 92, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003. John was a member of the First Unitarian Church of Hobart. He was preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Gourley, his brother, Howard Bracken, and his parents, Howard and Laura Bracken. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Bracken of Hobart; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Bracken were private. Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point in charge of arrangements.
