He married Florence Clara Johnston on 17 June 1934, in Crown Point, Center Township, Lake, Indiana, United States. He lived in East Chicago, North Township, Lake, Indiana, United States in 1935. He died on 7 January 1997, in Laguna Hills, Orange, California, United States, at the age of 84.
