Sallie L. Wilson (nee Kuckuck) Arizona/Hammond/Wheatfield Sallie L. Wilson, 65, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona. Sallie was born in Hobart, Indiana to the late Homer and Helen Kuckuck on February 4, 1939. She was an active member of the Mesa Spirit Chapel and served as a board member. Sallie enjoyed playing on the Thursday morning ladies golf league at Fiesta Links. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart and would do whatever she could to help anyone. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her. Sallie married her adoring husband James on February 14, 1987 in Munster, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Helen Kuckuck, husband Thaddeus Lempart and stepson David Wilson. She leaves behind her loving brothers Jack (Marilyn) Kuckuck of Griffith, Indiana, Jay (Paula) Kuckuck of Scottsdale, Arizona and sister Mary (Richard) Gerlich of Lake Station, Indiana. Brother-in-Law Bob (Sylvia) Wilson and Sister-in Law Barb. Her children feel truly blessed to have had her as a mother: Debbie (Chris) Kurman opf Valparaiso Indiana, Ted (Kim) Lempart of Las Vegas, Nevada, Connie (Chester) Sikora of Hammond, Indiana, Paula (Tom) Stanfa of Chapel Hill North Carolina and Jana (Joe) Trowbridge of Daphne, Alabama. Her grandchildren Shellie (Darrin) Feller of Valparaiso, Indiana, Shannon Kurman of Kansas, Crystal and Michael Benninghoff and Chester Sikora III, all of Hammond, Indiana, Alex and Ryan Trowbridge of Daphne, Alabama and Lauren Stanfa of Chapel Hill North Carolina. Great-granddaughter Hope Feller of Valparaiso, Indiana. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles and cousins. As well as dear friends Ron and Rose Topp and Bev and Virg Gamblin. Sallie and Jim attended 1st Christian Reformed Church of Highland when they lived in Hammond. Sallie was a long time employee of the Indiana Employment Services. She also worked at Ben Franklin in Wheatfield after moving there. She was an angel on earth and is now an angel in Heaven. May she rest in peace in the loving arms of her Father.
A private ceremony was held in Mesa, Arizona followed by cremation. Please join the family in celebrating her love and life at 10:00 a.m. on SATURDAY, October 16, 2004 at the 1st Christian Reformed Church, 8910 Grace Street, Highland, IN.
