OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 18, 2005:
Esther L. Boldt, age 103, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005. She was a lifelong resident of Portage and Hobart and was a retired employee of Amsted Industries with 25 years of service. Esther was a retired Camelot Estates Bus Trip Coordinator. She was a faithful member of the St. Stephens' Episcopal Church and the Womans Group.
Esther is survived by three nieces: Beverlee Niksich (nee Samuelson), Mildred (George) Labadie and Marceline (Vic) Bubas; great-nephews: Donald (Deborah) Labadie, Jeffrey (Patti) Labadie, Andrew (Jennifer) Niksich and David Niksich; four great-great-nieces; nine great-great-nephews; three great-great-great-nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters: Mable Samuelson and Elsie Bailey; one brother, Edward Boldt; one great-niece, Linda Grzych (nee Labadie).
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1360 S. State Street, Hobart. Rev. John Blakslee, officiating. Arrangements completed by Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 219-942-2109.
