NOTE: There is some confusing information about Mary's parents. The 1920 census record indicates that she was botn to Theodore Guenther and Elizabeth Lillian Janssen. The Ancestry record lists her parents as Henry Janssen and Mary Atkins. In the 1939 HHS Ho-Hi Life yearbook, she goes by her mother's maiden name Janssen, and the Family Search record indicates she went by both names. Perhaps Thedore Guenther and Lillian Janssen were Mary's birth parents, but then Hanry Janssen and Mary Atkins adopted Mary. We don't know.
