Maxine M. Harris, age 91, of LaPorte, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.

She was born in Washington, Iowa on December 14, 1921 to George T. and Gladys (Crone) McKee.

On June 14, 1941 in Hobart, Indiana, she married Dr. Paul P. Harris of LaPorte who survives. Also surviving are her beloved children, David (Kay) Harris of Lafayette and Paula Jean Harris of LaPorte.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Maxine was a homemaker and assisted part-time in her husband's dental office. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a Charter and a Life member of the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary, a former member of Tri Kappa Association Chapter, and a former member of the Northwest Dental Auxiliary.

A private family Celebration of Life Service was held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Door Village Cemetery.
