Rufle "Jr" (Junior) Lautzenhiser - Class Of 1942

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 5, 2001:

Rufle "JR" Lautzenhiser, age 79, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2001. "JR" had been a Hobart resident for over 73 years and was a member of the Hobart High School graduating class of 1942 and was an avid Brickie football fan attending most all of the home games. JR, also was an Eagle Scout; a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a retired electrician and member of Electrician’s Local Union #697. JR was a member of VFW Kostbade Fowble Post #5365, a 50 year member of American Legion Post #54, the Hobart Elks Lodge #1152 and the First United Methodist Church of Hobart.

Survivors are his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy; one daughter, Niki (Drummond) Bell of Hobart; one brother, Robert Lautzenhiser of Princeton, IL; two grandchildren: Steven (Christi) Bell and Todd (Tiffany) Bell; three great-grandchildren: Aaron, Brandon and Cameron. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Heidc Lake Front Development Fund.

American Legion Services will be on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. from the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN, Rev. Robyn Axel-Adams officiating. Cremation, Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2 to 5 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
