Dorothy E. Slisher, 55, Michigan City, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday (Jan. 29, 1985) at her residence after an illness of two years. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert C. Rohrman Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Carlisle Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Friday until the service at the church. 

Mrs. Slisher was born June 27, 1929, in Hobart, Ind., the daughter of Albert and Alveda Carlson Johnson. She was a resident of Michigan City for 30 years and was former co-owner/operator of Slisher's Service Station, Second and Center streets. She had previously worked at Gary National Bank, Gary. On Nov. 24, 1954, in Hobart, she married Ronald Slisher, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Devoe Ronald Slisher, Peoria, Ill; two daughters, Dena Beth Slisher, Michigan City, and Thelma A.E. Slisher, Indianapolis; a sister, Effie Johnson, Sun City West, Ariz; and four brothers, Laverne Johnson, Sun City West, Norman Johnson, Hobart, Leonard Johnson, Franklin, Ind., and Millard Johnson, Berrien Springs, Mich. Mrs. Slisher was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church.
