Wilma Jean Knopic, age 80, Inverness, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at her residence. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor John Scott from First Christian Church of Inverness.

Wilma was born on August 27, 1929, in Gary, IN, to the late Leon and Karlene Robb and came to this area in 1986 from Hobart, IN. She was employed as a pharmacist's aide in a drug store. Wilma enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was an avid bowler, who achieved success in the Ladies League bowling, including bowling at many state tournaments.

Her survivors include her husband of 62 years, Steve Knopic; two sons, Michael D. Knopic, Lake Station, IN, and Dennis J. Knopic, Wheeler, IN; her brother, James P. Robb, Lake Station, IN; and sister, Beverly J. Fancher, Valparaiso, IN; and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Margaret. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Linda Knopic in February 2009.

The family requests donations to First Christian Church of Inverness Ministries in lieu of flowers.
