Obituary: "Loren Edward Todd, Jr., 68, 65 Eleventh Street, Covington, died at 2:30 p.m. June 3, 1998 in United Samaritans Medical Center, Sager Campus, Danville, Illinois. Born January 11, 1930 in Hobart, he was the son of Loren Edward and Naomie Laura Hucker Todd. He married Helen Dillon September 29, 1993, who survives.

He graduated from Ball State University in 1951 and earned a Bachelor of Divinity from Emroy University in 1954. He became an elder in the United Methodist Church in 1950. He served churches at Cedar Lake, Bainbridge, Georgetown, Marengo, Elnora, Dugger, Austin, National Council of Churches Mission in Caracas, Venezeula, Wakarusa, Monor, Mentone, Lincolnville, Roanoke, Benson Chapel and State Line, retiring in 1977. He served church missions in Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico. He had been a realtor in Covington since 1977.

Surviving include his wife; son, Richard Stevenson Todd, Danville, Illinois; daughter, Cindy Stratton, Cape Coral, Florida; brother, Harry (Sandra) Todd, Muncie; and grandson Justin Michael Hayman. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the First Assembly of God, Covington, with Pastor Dennis Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Memorials can be made to the First Assembly of God in Danville, of which he was a member."
