Barbara Meyers Obituary

Meyers, Barbara Ann (nee Rappe) Passed away on August 4, 2014 in Lemon Grove, CA. She was the wife of L. David Meyers and the daughter of Helen and Charles Rappe. Barbara was born on April 20, 1931, raised in Hobart, IN and graduated from Indiana University. She followed her dream and moved to California upon her graduation and taught first and second grades in the Lemon Grove school system for over 50 years. Her generous and kind spirit will be remembered by countless students, many colleagues, family, friends and neighbors. 

She is survived by her brother, John "Jack" Rappe (Janet) of Wilmington, NC; five nieces and nephews; 13 grandnieces and nephews; and two great-grandnieces. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, 2320 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101 and to The Humane Society, 5500 Gaines Street, San Diego, CA 92110.
