Gene L Stump Drowns While On Honeymoon

Gene Lionel Stump, son of Mr and Mrs Milo Stump, former Bremen residents who recently moved from Hobart to Goshen, drowned Thursday at Florence, Wis.

He was there spending a honeymoon with his bride of August 15, the former Mary Lee Ingles of Hobart. The two were fishing from a boat when the young husband fell into the water.

Stump was twenty years old and was a student at Indiana University, where he was majoring in chemistry. He was a member of the university male choir and chorus.

His father was a teacher in the Bremen school before the family moved to Hobart.

Funeral services were held in Grace Evangelical United Brethren church here Monday afternoon. Rev C L Hendrix of Grace church officiating. Burial was at Olive, cemetery.
